Stock Photo Goodness!

Fri Jul 6, 2007, 10:42 AM
I must say that posting my reference photography has been new and exciting.  It's both inspired me, seeing how one image can inspire so many different expressions, and also it has made me appreciate those stock photographers who have inspired me.  Perhaps they will inspire you too :)

I'm excited about all the attention of the new stock photo site LinzStock.  If you are an artist and haven't checked out the variety, here's a sample of what's up there now.

If you are a model and I haven't posted pics of you yet, I either haven't had your express permission to post them, or I haven't found the CD in the backups of my lost files yet.  I'm still uploading like a mad woman, so will get to it soon.  In the meantime, artists, ENJOY!

Thank you to my models who have given me permission.

It's great, isn't it?!! When I was at school my art teacher failed me for using reference pics, but I've since learned that most of the really good artists use them, so I love browsing the resources!!

*shakes head* How else does one learn anatomy if they aren't looking at something? I don't use them all the time, but when you are in a crunch for time there's nothing better.

And it's so much easier to get proportions on unusual poses... I don't think our art teacher was that interested in anatomy... She always had us drawing tricycles and still life stuff, all the things she was interested in! :O_o:

Man! Anatomy is key! That's all you study in life drawing!

Yeah, I know... But for some reason our teacher was stuck on inanimate objects... *sigh* It was one of the reasons I stuck to science in school and dropped art... I really wish I hadn't now.
