This is a second attempt at this concept. The first one, I did not have proper reference for the teacup or pot till I realized that I had inherited the set depicted here from my grandmother. Unfortunately I liked the fairy better in the original, so I photoshopped the old fairy on the new picture. After doing the second ink I was intent on printing the ink out on watercolor paper, but my printer would not cooperate, so I printed the second rendition onto the Bristol Board and went for colored pencils instead. I've found that scanning the ink and saving it separate, means that I not only have the line art, but if I mess up I have not lost the original and can try again. It's been a nifty discovery, that apparently other artists are also doing these days.
